Secure Files
Has been completely re-written. This is in preparation for the upgrade to Wordpress version 2.7 and also for some improved functionality.
The advantage of using Secure Files for certain files is that you can restrict their access to ‘members only’ who are logged in. So even if links for secure files are passed around to ‘non-members’ they will not be able to download them as they are not an authenticated member.

You will notice the ’secure files’ padlock icon in the Media Manager now. Click on this icon to upload your secure media (images, audio, video and other files that must be protected for members only).
You can now FTP your secure files into your secure folder and then with one click (on the Blog > Secure Files page) update the Media Manager so all files will now appear and be usable from the Media Manager.
This update does not affect your existing secure files links, they will function as normal.

Personalize your Posts and Pages
We’ve just completed the new feature to allow the inclusion of Personalization fields into Posts and Pages. This is a fantastic feature to be able to personalize your members only content.
For example you can now include your clients First name into a Sales Page Headline! Or on your Quicklinks/Welcome Page to your members you can include some of their info to make the page much more personal.

Fields include:
– First Name
– Last Name
– Username
– Email
– Address 1
– Address 2
– State
– Zip (Postcode)
– CountryIf Username or Firstname fields are used in Non-Members pages e.g. In public content available to everyone the field will be replaced with the word “Guest” so that way any non-members will see that.
Country, City and State fields will use Geolocation data based on their IP if the user is not logged in.
A new Icon has been added (the ‘P’ for Personalization Icon) to the Toolbar).
Click here to visit the online manual for step-by-step instructions on using Personalization fields in your posts and pages.
