One of the biggest things we notice when it comes to looking at the many membership website programs that exist, is that they are not taking advantages of the income streams that can be developed from a membership website.
People tend to live under the conclusion that a recurring subscription model is enough, but what if I told you, you’re not doing all you can to help yourself and your membership website?
For a start, there are two main forms of marketing you can use to your membership website. The first is product recommendations, the second is passive marketing i.e. Google Adsense, and the third is selling your other products.
Whilst it is pretty easy to build a list and get a few subscribers for free, a customer that is actually paying for your membership website must think your opinions worth something. Take advantage of that by recommending quality products (with quality affiliate programs) and you will find that the conversions are surprisingly high. Your subscribers will even thank you for good product recommendations as it shows that you actually care about them!
The motto of any internet marketer is diversify, diversify, and diversify. It is really easy to have one membership website, so why not have another? That way you do not just have one customer base, you have two and that allows you even more exclusive marketing opportunities in the form of cross-sales and other promotions.
But one thing to remember is that marketing to your membership website is that it can go too far. Remember customers are paying you for your advice and not for commercials. So it is best to keep adsene and other PPC advertisements away from you site and focus entirely on product recommendations and your own promotions.
There are literally loads of ways to market to your membership website, and they really do pay off. Just remember the secret of subscribers, if they did not trust you, they would not subscribe!
